Yesterday I posted about forward Dima Zhilkin (2027-28 University of Michigan commit) leading the way for Saginaw’s 2027 draft-eligible prospects during OHL Rivalry Week. My opinion hasn’t changed in that regard, as he leads the OHL in both points (22) and goals (12), and is on pace for 136 points this season. However, I did leave out Zhilkin’s draft-eligible teammate, forward Braidy Wassilyn (2027-28 Boston University commit), who sits second behind Zhilkin for most league points (21) and goals (10). Wassilyn, who is in his second year of draft-eligibility, was passed over in the 2026 draft due to inconsistent point production (only 46 points in 62 games in 2025-26 for London & Saginaw) and pace of play. On the productivity side, he sits on pace for 130 points this season, and I am anxious to see if that is the result of an increased focus on competitive drive.
