10/7/26: 2027 Draft Prospects Meyer & Glance Migrate to QMJHL From USA Hockey Program

Forwards Carter Meyer (QMJHL Quebec) and Jamie Glance (QMJHL Saint John) are both competing in the Canadian Hockey League for their draft years. Meyer left the United States National Team Development Program (USNTDP) following his U17 season, while Glance competed for the USNTDP in both his U17 and U18 seasons. Meyer and Glance will be teammates next season at Boston University.

Meyer is a potential top-5 pick in next year’s draft, and already has registered 9 points (2G 7A) in 6 games this season for the Remparts. Also, Meyer was one of the first four players selected to compete for Team CHL in this season’s two-game CHL USA Prospects Challenge, which takes place on December 1 and 2 in Chicoutimi and Quebec City, QC. Recently I published an article highlighting these four players, which also includes Glance’s Saint John teammate Alexis Joseph, the link to which is below. Meyer will be competing against his former USNTDP teammates at this event.

Glance also is a projected first-round pick, and at this point hovers around the 20th overall selection. Being such a highly-touted draft prospect, he will be named to Team CHL when the full roster is announced. Similar to Meyer, Glance also is excelling in his new surroundings, having totaled 7 points (1G 6A) in 6 games with the Sea Dogs thus far in 2026-27.
